Project Selection - Magazine

     Creating a magazine would be a good choice for the project because I enjoy writing stories and articles. I also would be able to create the cover which sounds very interesting and fun. Looking at other magazines and analyzing made me realized that making one of my own would be a fun experience, mostly doing the cover design. In addition, watching "All the President's Men" showed me the process of being a journalist and finding the right information, but also how to interview and and write the article. "The Newsroom" series showed how to target an audience, how to get information, and the many different styles of writing there is, such as "take down pieces" or real news. The challenging part of this is possibly going out to interview people or finding a topic to write about and base the magazine on. Another challenging aspect would be to create a cohesive piece where the font of the letters, the images, and the content flow seamlessly together. All in all, choosing the magazine will increase my creativity to think out of the box and expand my writing skills, though there are few challenges.
