Project Selection - My Decision

I believe the better choice for the project for me would be the magazine. It shows more of my strengths than weaknesses and there would be much less to worry about, such as matching schedules. I like writing and photography which are two very important aspects of a magazine. I also like the creative element of it with the wide variety of topics I can write about. I plan on working on the magazine with one other person. My partner and I are both creative and work well together. We plan on creating our magazine on the recent advancements in technology and how it is impacting our world. My partner will write an article under the said topic and I will write mine, then we will work together to take the pictures and create the magazine cover, as well as come up with the layout of the entire magazine.

Project Selection - Film

Producing a film would be a good choice for the project because finding ways to create meaning in every shot would be interesting and fun to do as well as the production aspect of it. Using a camera is a strong suit of mine and I like filming and recording. However, a challenge of this would be finding actors and good conditions to film in. Another problem would be creating a script. I am not good at making scripts nor like it. I am also a poor editor and would rather be the producer than the editor. I would also have to find actors for the film and have everyone's schedules line up for us to all film it which will be very hard. However, with my skills and the other members of my group, together we could make a great and meaningful introduction film.
